Dilute records crowd audio assets for "Football Superstars" game. Dilute recently got unprecedented access at the HOK designed Stadium MK (the home of the MK Dons) to record surround and stereo crowd stems for a new football game.
Crowd sounds and stadium atmospheres were recorded before, during and after the game against Watford. Two portable hand held stereo rigs using Stereo / MS mics were used to capture detailed crowd reaction while our Holophone surround mic captured the overall ambience positioned strategically above the main bank of fans.
The mono, stereo and surround files were all used in game to enhance the realism and dynamics during gameplay.
While also performing as consultant music supervisor on MOTO GP 09/10, we also found time to mix the Subsource track 'The Ides' as an in game tune.
"The Ides" will be their next single, which will be available in March from all good digital outlets! In the meantime, check out their first single "The Reason (Parasite)" or have a look at their own "Subsource Rave" app on iTunes.

In association with music publishing giants Faber, Dilute have exclusively been commissioned to record all of the southern regions choirs for the 'Sing Up' program. Sing Up is the Music Manifesto's National Singing Programme. It's a programme to make sure that singing is at the heart of every primary school child's life.
Sing Up, is now a four year programme running until March 2011 with of £10m of funding per year.
Sing Up's overall aim is to raise the status of singing and increase opportunities for primary school children throughout the country to enjoy singing as part of their everyday lives.

As part of a larger scale game project Dilute were asked to record the choir elements for orchestral pieces used within each of the game levels. The brief was to create an additional layer of ethereal voices to complement the already boisterous backing track.
The venue was chosen for it's excellent acoustics, location (London) and it's easy access. So the choir excelled at creating a wonderful full bodied chorus that reverberated around the room with excellent results. An impulse response of the rooms reverb was also taken.
The choir were recorded both with and without respective backing tracks using our portable recording rig, great mics, mic pre's and know how, all in a couple of days.
If you are interested in recreating something like this with a choir, ensemble or small orchestra then please contact us.
As part of the UK Technology Strategy Board's collaborative research and development program for the creative industries, Dilute have managed to secure funding to help with research into interactive audio for multimedia and games.
As of the research program, Dilute have already been collaborating and consulting with various multimedia, games and manufacturing companies to secure backing and interest in an exciting new concept.

In association with Creative Labs, Dilute Recordings have recorded, produced and mixed 2 of the 6 tracks provided as sample tracks on Creative's MP3 players. Tracks by artists Soundcorruption and HiJera were all placed on the cool new media player.
When you buy a Creative MP3 player such as the Zen V Plus, you can have a listen to a variety of tunes by young contemporary artists. All the artists were recorded and mixed in completely different, independent commercial sessions then compiled together and given away free. Dilute are always proud to be championing new music, young artists and new technology in this way.
